Christmas...for so many of us this season is nothing more than a scary word. The word means many, many, nights out, getting together with people that normally we would never willingly get together with, and the list of negatives goes on and on.
We have done it to ourselves, gifts, parties, bills...and stress. It seems the last number of years that we are more concerned with the direction that the "holiday" is going than we are about actually celebrating Christ's birth. We have wasted so much energy, so many words, talking about how Christ is being taken out of Christmas that we are doing it ourselves. It is us who keeps Christ in Christmas, not through arguing, not through lamenting, but through our actions.
This season worry less about what others are doing, what traditions you may or may not agree with, and teach your loved ones, that this season truly is about the birth of a Saviour. Your actions and how you choose to celebrate His birth will go a lot farther than simply lamenting what is gone or what is lost. Jesus really is the reason for the season, this year don't argue that fact, rather live that fact.
